The Brooklyn Community Recovery Center is a recovery community outreach center (RCOC) located in the heart of Bedford-Stuyvesant, providing service to the entire borough.
As one of the first RCOCs in the state of New York, and the only facility of its kind in Brooklyn, we work in collaboration with state and local government and community-based organizations. We lead the evolution of peer-driven and other Recovery-oriented services to inspire and actualize a community recovery vision: inclusive of diversity, respect, and responsiveness. Our goal is to deepen individuals’, families’, and the community’s engagement in wellness & recovery by providing referrals to prevention, treatment, harm reduction, and other recovery support resources.
Our recovery support services include recovery coaching, holistic wellness programs, training, professional development, supports for the peer professional workforce, and other vocational/employment services. Our on-site telehealth program provides visitors with high-speed broadband, tablets, and private booths to increase the community’s access to care. All the services we offer are free of charge.
Through our collective passion and lived experience, we offer hope and empowerment to all individuals seeking strength in the many pathways to recovery.

Peer CoachingÂ
One of our goals here at the Brooklyn Community Recovery Center is to promote a Peer-Led workforce. If you're interested in meeting with a Peer Recovery coach for a 1:1 session, please email us at [email protected].
"A recovery coach is a person who helps remove personal and environmental obstacles to recovery, links the newly recovering person to the recovering community, and serves as a personal guide and mentor in the management of personal and family recovery."
- William White, from "Sponsor, Recovery Coach, Addiction Counselor: The Importance of Role Clarity and Role Integrity"
