The main goal of the Family Emergency Shelter is to empower new arrivals by providing the tools and resources they need to build a secure and successful future. By addressing their immediate needs and facilitating long-term stability, we strive to create a welcoming and supportive environment for all families.
Services provided:
Intake and Assessment - Thorough intake assessments are conducted to understand each family's unique needs.
Resource Navigation - Assist families in accessing essential resources such as housing, healthcare, food assistance, and legal services.
Employment and Education Support – Provide guidance and support in finding employment opportunities and enrolling children in local schools, as well as connecting adults with educational and vocational training programs.
Cultural Orientation - Provide orientation sessions to help families acclimate to their new community, understand local customs, and become familiar with public services.
Counseling and Support Services - offers emotional and psychological support to help families cope with the stress and challenges of migration.
Advocacy and Referrals - Advocacy on behalf of families and connect them with additional services and organizations that can further support their needs.
